The agreement is supervised by Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations which also serve as guarantors alongside the U.S.

Stage Two

Negotiations start 16 days into the first stage
  • Permanent ceasefire established
  • Remaining living hostages to be exchanged for more Palestinian prisoners
  • Complete withdrawal of Israeli forces

Stage Three

After the withdrawal of Israeli forces
  • The return of the remaining bodies of dead hostages
  • Reconstruction of Gaza begins, expected to take years
